Housing in Amsterdam: is Oud West an option?
Oud West is most popular among students as the housing prices are quite low. The area is quite lively and multicultural. Oud West is surrounded by two parks: Vondelpark and Westerpark. Where the Vondelpark is quite touristic, the Westerpark is more for locals (mostly students and artists). Oud West is really a mix of everything, near the Vondelpark there are buildings who are from a decent quality, but more near the Westerpark the quality of the houses is decreasing. The area has lots of supermarkets, shops and restaurants.
