The Rivierenbuurt is a good place for an expatriate in Amsterdam to live. It’s near Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. The Rivierenbuurt is not really an expats neighborhood, but still there are lots of great apartment rentals available. For the price / quality the living in the Rivierenbuurt is great. Most of the buildings are from the 1920s and 1930s. The Rivierenbuurt has a typical architecture, as architects from the “Amsterdamse school” were able to design the whole neighborhood. The Rivierenbuurt is also known for the RAI, a hall with lots of exhibitions and events taking place.
