From Marktplaats to a professional housing agent
"I wanted a simple apartment, two times in the month I have to be in Amsterdam. A Dutch friend told me to look for apartments on Marktplaats.nl. Which is some kind of eBay, to look for apartments. At Marktplaats I saw a beautiful apartment, but the owner wanted me to wire money to his bank account before I could get the key. Very strange. After some Googling I found this website which told me I'd probably was dealing with a con artist. Thank God I found this website. I cancelled everything with the Marktplaats-dude and got in touch with this site. Within a day I got a telephone call from a housing agent who told me we could do a house hunt in the same week! He arranged everything for me, from the 12 apartments we had seen, I'd literally had to pick the apartment which I liked. After that he made sure I got myself a good deal and within a few weeks I was living in my brand new apartment. This housing agent sure saved me a lot of trouble, it costs something but you I didn't have to worry about a thing. Definitely worth the money!"

"My husband and I work at a big multinational. I got relocated to Amsterdam, and fortunately my husband could get work in Amsterdam as well at an other company. My HR-manager gave me some tips and tricks for finding housing in Amsterdam, among these tips and there was this website. To know something from the rental process before you move to an other city was a big advantage for us. As we have four children AND we use our cars daily we knew we had to look in the Old South area or in Amstelveen. I entered my details into this website and within a week we were house hunting with a lovely lady in Amstelveen. Amstelveen was way too boring for me (no offense people, haha), so we focussed on Old South. As there are not much houses available in Old South with +5 bedrooms our housing agent put us on hold for a week. Through her contacts she knew when an other house came available, she told me that house would be ideal for us. And yeah, she was totally right! Our housing agent acted quickly and rational; as there were in no time other proposals on the house, she still managed to get us the deal. Great service!"
